Mapping Green Finance Sources to Drive North Macedonia’s Green Transition

Elson Solutions, in collaboration with Finovate MK, recently completed an Analysis of Green Finance Sources for the Public Sector as part of the USAID Partnership for Economic Growth activity.

The analysis was presented at an event attended by more than 30 financial consultants and representatives of organizations that support the private sector. Participants were introduced in detail to financial instruments available for green financing of micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) in North Macedonia.

Additionally, Milica Arnaudova Stojanovska, Advisor to the Governor, presented the National Bank’s activities related to climate risk and green financing.

During the panel discussion, representatives from key financial institutions shared their green finance instruments available to the private sector.

The event marked an important step toward strengthening the ecosystem for green finance in North Macedonia by bringing together key stakeholders from the financial and public sectors. The presented analysis serves as a practical tool for understanding available green finance sources and guiding future investments in sustainable development. It also reinforces the role of financial institutions and policymakers in accelerating the country’s green transition.
